Why isn't gradient option showing up?

Longtime Bernina software user. However, their horrible documentation and lack of real troubleshooting solutions is causing me to look elsewhere. Hatch, being a Wilcom product, is the perfect solution. I've been using it for a few days now, and there are definitely slight differences that have made me really enjoy it.

My question. I'm working on a design, using the gradient function. It's only showing up as an option for one of the three objects I am trying to apply it to. It just doesn't even appear in the "Effects" list. Am I missing some criteria?

I'm happy to hear you are enjoying using Hatch. Thanks for the nice comment. As to your question:
You probably have one of the objects that have multiple angles. You can only use one angle with gradient fill. While you can use the Florentine effect with a Gradient fill, it is curved but still only one stitch angle. You may have used the "any shape" closed tool, which does have multiple angles. This shape is not available to use with gradient fill.
If this is the type of object that you have and want to use gradient fill, select the object > click remove stitch angles > and then your gradient fill will appear and available to be used.
