Turn a fill stitch into an outline stitch

I used the rectangle to digitize a square and see no way to turn it into an outline. Somewhat frustrated.

Here is how to turn the rectangle into an outline.
Select the rectangle/square you created as a fill
In the toolbar at the top, you will see "fill and outline" icons
Click on outline

If you want it to be a satin, then again with it selected, click on satin outline type in the object properties.

A quick way to get there is to go to the home page in Hatch software (icon in upper left corner)
Now click on "open academy" and paste the link I gave above.
