Make hatch design background permanently white?

Hi,
The standard color when you open hatch is a grey background. I much prefer white. Is there a way to change my settings so every time I open a new page it is white? I am currently going in each time and changing it.

Yes!
1. Open a new blank design.
2. Change whatever settings you want to make permanent (background, thread colors, etc.). Make sure there are no design objects.
3. Click File > Save As Template and save over the Hatch default template. The name should be in your file name field already.
4. Close this file and click New to start a new design and test your default settings.
