Show connectors doesn't work under TrueView?

Under User Interface Settings, there are options to tick to enable what appears to be "Show Connectors" under TrueView but it doesn't seem to work. Is "User Interface settings" just a poorly named menu that is identical in function to the View toolbar? Not sure what the point of having it is. Showing connectors in TrueView would be so epic. Would really help when doing high level routing of stitches between objects. Stitch view often times has too much going on.

This is not True View. It is view. Connectors do not show in True view as that only shows what will stitch and connectors do not stitch.
