How to Cross Stitch tutorial

I have been searching for a tutorial on how to make a cross stitch pattern with Hatch. After poking around on Hatch I have found the fill stitch/cross stitch etc. But do not how size the stitches (as per a pattern), etc.

I know there are specific programs like ES but I cannot afford to purchase another program.

Looking forward to hearing all of your advice.

If you're on Facebook there's a really good group that you can join, "Wilcom Hatch Embroidery Software Facts". They have done some very nice tutorials that they call "Friday TryDay".
One of the ones they did was about Cross Stitch that will give you some great tips!

This picture is my design using the Cross Stitch Fill. It's from the Friday TryDay lessons I mentioned previously.
So yes, we can do Cross Stitch designs in Hatch, but it is a bit fiddly.
