Fonts - ES to Hatch 2

I own both Hatch 2 and Embroidery Studio 4.5. How do I use fonts (.esa) that I've created in ES (Font Creator) in Hatch 2?
When I move the font from ES to Hatch, the font characters show up as squares in Hatch.
Is there a conversion utility that I need to use since they appear to use different versions of .esa.

EmbroideryStudio e4.5 is a newer version than Hatch 2, therefore Hatch 2 cannot read the font files created in ES e4.5.

Newer versions can read older version files, but older versions cannot read newer version files.

Previous versions can read files created by newer versions, but newer versions cannot raead files created by older versions.
