Hello!
I come from using Embird before Hatch.
I want to ask how to do one thing. I feel it is hard to select nodes in a "sketchy" hand-digitized work because it is hard to find the correct order of nodes in the "mess". I will try to include a screenshot to show what I mean. Where the nodes kind of overlap each other.
What I want to do is to kind of "travel" through the nodes, and then start to "select" and then "travel", automatically select node, by node, along the path, and then finally delete/manipulate them in one go.
And if it is not possible to do it at "node" level, then doing it at "stitch" level would work too! but I am not sure how to do it?
I visualize it like this:
"Select a start position" (one stitch position, let's say the 235th stitch) and then push a button multiple times to expand the selection in one direction of the path, automatically selecting the interval until, let's say I stop at 256th stitch, and it has been marked for me (stitch 235 to 256), and I can delete the segment. Without having to manually select it one by one, or dragging a rectangle (clumsy)
It is hard to explain, so I hope you understand what I mean.
Is it possible to do so? I have tried to reference the user manual but wasn't really clear on if it is really possible to do so, and the "travel" only seem to be able to go from object to object, and not even able to "select" a range?
I would prefer not to do it in Embird because then I would lose the higher editable Hatch .EMB format. (and I would really want to streamline my work as much as possible, I want to retire using Embird)
Another thing I really wish for, and hope for to be included at one point: ability to cut up at one point, breaking the object into two objects "before" and "after" the cut. At least for the outline embroidery objects. Fills I can understand would be hard to accomplish in programming and should not be used.
Thank you for reading!

With the travel toolbar, you can move by object or color. This is useful in finding the triangles. If you Show -->Stitches, then use the stitch player to move through individual stitches.
You can stop the stitch player and use the <-- --> keys to move through a stitch at a time.
Or if you want you can use Edit Objects --> Stitch Edit and move through individual stitches, hit the delete key to delete them.
Hope this was what you were looking for.
There is an excellent video on Eliminating trims which shows how to travel through a design. Even though it is for Embroidery studio, much of it applies to Hatch.

There is a toolbar that lets you move around by object or colour. This will help you find the triangles. To move through stitches, click Show —>Stitches. Then, use the stitch player to move through each one.
If you want to stop the stitch player and move through a stitch one at a time, you can. You can use the — --> keys to do this.
To get rid of individual stitches, you can use Edit Objects --> Stitch Edit. You can then move through each stitch and delete it with the delete key.
As you can see, I hope that this is what you were searching for.
