Hello,
We have lots of customers that use Parallels with their Mac. Lindee, who does videos for us always does her digitizing and videos using a MAC. Maybe some others will jump in and give you some first hand experience.

Hi Julia,

As Kim said, I run Hatch on Parallels on Mac and the videos in the Hatch Academy are all done on my Mac. I do have Hatch on both my laptop and desktop and it works fine. I use very few Windows apps but I like that I can still access all my Mac files on one computer.

I primarily run Hatch on my desktop because I have 2 huge monitors. I use the laptop when I travel which, these days, might just be to the couch. I've also been known to digitize in bed…

One issue I run into on the laptop is the keyboard. I'm used to a full-size keyboard and on the laptop, you don't have the "forward delete" button that is used in a lot of Windows apps. On the laptop, you need to use FN-DEL to trigger that action, which I find awkward. Another option is to just get a second keyboard if you find that too bothersome. The program itself runs just fine.

I have to say that Hatch was the first program I wanted to use bad enough to put WIndows 10 on my Mac. So glad I did!

HI Lindee
Thank you so much for your reply - i used to use e3 elements on a small screen pc so my new 17 in mac book seems huge - and for the moment im still learning so mostly creating text for my personalised cushions. Im so un tech so already struggling even to load parallels - so still not got to downloading Hatch ! - do i need to purchase windows 10 first and then install parallels ?
Also i have my text template ( sizing etc ) saved as embarrassing files, once i have hatch can i easily open and then just start to use. excited to get exploring but have a lots of orders to get embroidered and sewn up before i can.
