Insert design

HI,
I am trying to write a name with a font I have purchased (not built into Hatch). In my old software, I could select all the letters I needed by holding down the ctrl key and then insert them into a new file. In Hatch, I only seem to be able to insert one letter at a time. I have a Mac and am using Parallels so I am not overly familiar with windows. I feel like there must be a way to select more than one letter at a time to insert. I can certainly do one letter at a time but since I do lots of names, I would like to speed it up a bit! Thanks for any advice!
