question-circle Running stitch and TTF fonts

Hi there,

I'm hoping someone can help! I own the Digitizer version and have yet to use it, so I'm a super beginner. At this time, the only thing I want to do is embroider words or phrases from fonts that I own, which are the TTF fonts. I'd like them to be embroidered in a running stitch or any other stitch that resembles chain stitching. Can someone pretty please walk me through the process in detail as I am new to the software, and haven't fully navigated through it. I would be so grateful! Thank you so much for your help.

Take care,
Stephanie

I will follow you :-) need that too ... btw. the running stitch Run_XYZ in ESA hatch fonts is a fake Satin. Is that what I need for other font ;-)
I love Linux - Debian and work with Inkscape, Gimp ... started embroidering with InkStitch now at Hatch \o/ [would love Hatch much more when it work under Linux ;-)][main language: german and a bit pidgin denglish]

Hi

Some good advice about trying to use TTF fonts for embroidery can be found on our resellers site.

www.digitizingmadeeasy.com/faq-items/can...-ttf-fonts-in-hatch/

It's something that is hit and miss.

To have full control of lettering it's recommended to use ESA alphabet files.
