wrong measurements exporting to pes

I created a design with different size shapes in Hatch, exported it to a pes file, but when opening it in my Palette 11 software, the measurements are wrong. I tried exporting it in ver6 and 10 and the measurements are wrong using either version. I'm very new to Hatch so I don't know if I needed to do something else.

I'm working on a design that requires multiple hoops, so I progressively isolated each chunk of the design by deleting the rest, exporting, restoring, deleting, etc. All of the similarly-sized chunks exported at the correct size, except for one that doubled in height inexplicably. The .pes thumbnail appeared to be correctly proportioned, yet the height was double what it should be, regardless of isolate the chunk into it's own project file and exporting again.
Solution: In a new project file, I moved the chunk to the center point of the grid and exported again, and it came out fine. For some reason, the dimensions distort when the object is further away from the origin (0, 0).

Hi,
Without having the designs to look at, I think this could be the situation............If the software opens with the start needle position at the center of the hoop (which many Brother machines do), yet your design is saved off-center, then the center point would become part of the design size.
