For the life of my, I cannot get my machine to embroidery a perfect circle. No matter what I try, it always ends up getting pulled into an oval, stretching diagonally from upper left to lower right. It just won't hold a perfect circle and I was hoping to make some merit-style patches.
Anyone have any advice? I'm running the Hatch program and embroidering with a Brother PE770.
Circles are quite hard to get to stitch out like a circle. You basically need to start with more of a slight "oval" or slight "egg" shape to compensate for the pull you'll get when stitched out.
You'll also find that you must have a very stiff cutaway stabilizer and the design to be hooped. Even the position within your hoop can make a difference. Even threads can make a difference.
This is the reason for the most part, professional digitizers will go back over the outside of the circle with a satin outline to help cover up the pulled circle.
