Right Click for Curve

Hello! I just downloaded the trial version. While attempting to digitize (either open or closed shapes), I am unable to create a curve. I have tried right clicking and left clicking to no avail. What am I doing wrong?

When you finish digitizing your shape, click the "enter" key to complete the shape. See if this is what you are missing.
