file Help with how to create running stitch designs like this

aubreyrae Posted 3 years 6 months ago

I'm hoping someone can help me create a design like the one attached. I'm new to Hatch and new to digitzing. I've tried to digitize a center line as a triple stitch over an upload picture of a font I like and it doesn't stitch out well on my machine. I'm mostly stitch on vinyl and the vinyl eats the stitches and they aren't bold like this one.

Thanks in advance for any help!

Most likely with vinyl, you will need to stick with a single run with small lettering.

Here is an example of using a running outline stitch. Manual digitized > used "Digitize Open shape" tool.
Settings 2.0mm with variable run length checked.

Remember to use a combination of right and left mouse clicks to get a smooth shape.
Here I show you my left and right clicks in reshape mode with True View turned off.

I'm on the Trial version ... and do not see the DIGITIZE menu with an OPEN SHAPE tool??
Does the Trial version limit users from trying this feature out?!

I guess nobody answers questions for newbies on this board?! Had to figure out the solution of my own.

Hello,
My apologies.  I do check this daily.  I'm not sure why your post just showed up.  I'm glad you found your answer.  Also be sure to check the videos in our Hatch Academy.  You have access to the Bronze Level while on your trial.
